Mobile Laser Scanning (MLS)
Unlike Terrestrial scanning, which is performed from a static position, mobile laser scanning collects geospatial data from a mobile vehicle fitted with LiDAR, cameras and other remote sensors. This mobility can be provided by cars, trains, trucks, manned and unmanned aerial vehicles and boats.
Mobile laser scanning is used in emergency response situations to quickly assess the conditions on the ground, as well as for popular mapping projects such as Google Maps and Street View. Location services on smartphones rely on mobile mapping to plot the position of the phone.
We have the experience and the expert survey, planning and design team to provide mobile laser scanning services to all kinds of projects all over Australia.
Please contact a team member at Veris to discuss your Mobile Laser Scanning (MLS) needs.
