Banyule Design Guide for Medium Density Residential Development
Veris was engaged by Banyule City Council to develop a Design Guide that would elevate the role of good design and encourage design excellence across new medium and high-density residential developments.
The Challenge
This document has been prepared as a tool to aid engagement between Council, designers, developers and the broader community to provide a common reference that supports meaningful discussions around high quality design outcomes. This Design Guide is flexible and open to different design approaches while being clear on the design objectives and goals to be achieved. As these guidelines can be applied to different building typologies, the guide presents key considerations for those typologies more appropriate for the municipality.
