Awards streak continues for Veris

Following Veris’ recent successes at the National APSEA awards, the company’s award-winning streak continues with the achievement of the latest awards:

2023 Surveying Consultancy Excellence Awards – National Firm Category

The prestigious awards celebrate consultancies that have demonstrated the highest level of excellence in the delivery of surveying services to communities across Australia with categories spanning small, medium and large firms based on employee numbers.

Veris proudly claimed the top honor in the national consultancy category and were commended for consistently investing substantial time and resources into nurturing the careers of employees throughout their professional journey, as well as the investment in addressing the industry’s skill shortage by working closely with schools and universities to promote careers in surveying.

Judges noted the Young Professionals Program, which Veris developed to bridge the gap between study and work, by providing a structured, 12-month development program for early career professionals.

Furthermore, Veris were also recognised for their involvement in the award-winning Indigenous Surveyor Employment Pathway Program. This program demonstrates Veris’ commitment to supporting Indigenous Australians in choosing a pathway into the surveying industry. Additionally noted was the company’s commitment in their efforts to combat the underrepresentation of women in the spatial industry, making it an ongoing priority for the business.

Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) Victoria Engineering Excellence Awards for 2023 - Excellence in Innovation Award

Continuing the award streak, Veris were thrilled to have taken home the Excellence in Innovation Award at the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) Victoria Engineering Excellence Awards for 2023.

This award recognises the outstanding work Veris’ Digital & Spatial team delivered for the Cardinia Shire Council project, utilising cutting-edge 3D ground penetrating radar (3D GPR) and mobile laser scanning technologies. Through Veris’ innovative approach, they successfully identified tree root systems and captured the road corridor in 3D, leading to remarkable outcomes.

The Council’s adoption of this advanced technology allowed them to identify and mitigate the impact on tree roots, leading to adjustments in the road design that safeguarded hundreds of valuable trees.

This outstanding achievement reflects the company’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that positively impact our clients and communities.

With these latest achievements, Veris continue to solidify their position as a leader in the spatial data services.
