Veris secures additional works on Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel Project

Veris Australia (ASX: VRS) a leading surveying, digital and spatial, planning and urban design business is pleased to announce it has secured a contract variation to provide additional monitoring surveys on the Metro Tunnel Project in Melbourne, Victoria.

The additional survey works, which will occur every quarter until the end of 2023, have a total value of over $900,000. This is an addition to the existing survey works Veris is currently providing on the project, resulting in an accumulated contract value of $22.5 million.

Veris Australia has been engaged by the Metro Tunnel Project’s Tunnels and Stations contractor CYP Design & Construction - a joint venture comprising Lendlease (ASX: LLC), John Holland and Bouygues Construction since late 2017, to provide a comprehensive range of surveying services.

Veris Australia Chief Executive Officer Michael Shirley said “We continue to work closely with CYP Design & Construction to ensure the successful delivery of this large-scale infrastructure project. To provide these additional services is testament to the quality of our work to-date and supports our position as a market leader in the delivery of surveying, digital & spatial, and planning services to some of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects.”

The Metro Tunnel Project is a major enhancement to Melbourne's rail network. It will transform the way people move around Melbourne and improve access to key landmarks and destinations.
