Veris Achieves Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) Accreditation for UAV Compliance
Veris’ UAV team has officially passed the Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) audit for UAV compliance.
BARS is a globally recognised, risk-based framework developed by the Flight Safety Foundation. Designed specifically for Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) operations, it sets the benchmark for flying in complex, high-risk and remote environments and goes well beyond baseline regulatory requirements from Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
What does this mean in practice?
- World-class safety and risk management
- Proven operational excellence
- Even greater confidence for clients across resources, mining, infrastructure and environmental projects.
To put it into perspective, only a handful of the more than 2,700 CASA-registered drone operators in Australia hold BARS certification. It’s a premium benchmark, and Veris has met it head-on.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved in making this happen. Veris’ UAV team continues to demonstrate precision in the air and confidence on the ground for every client.
