Veris awarded contract for Inland Rail

Veris Australia has been awarded a contract to provide utility locating and surveying services to ARTC for the Inland Rail Program’s Tottenham to Albury project.

The Tottenham to Albury project, which is planned along 305km of existing rail corridor from metropolitan Melbourne to the Victoria-NSW border at Albury-Wodonga, is one of 13 individual projects that complete Inland Rail.

The works to be completed by Veris will run for approximately two months and involves the survey and identification of third-party utilities services at the 12 enhancement sites between Beveridge and Albury where bridge replacement and/or track lowering construction activities will be executed.

The information obtained as a result of the survey works will provide greater scope certainty for the Tottenham to Albury Contractors, as well as provide more accurate information to safely execute the works.

Veris Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael Shirley, said “Inland Rail is a national project that will transform how we move goods around Australia, and we are extremely pleased to be supporting ARTC with these important identification and surveying works in Victoria.”
