Community program for youths delivers benefits

Members of the Veris Racing team visited the town of Laverton in remote Western Australia during the recent school holidays to deliver another instalment of the Laverton Cycling Project.

The 5-day community program provided youths from the local area with opportunities to engage with cycling, from bike maintenance and mock racing sessions, through to cycling safety, education and nutrition.

As major partner of the Cycling Development Foundation, and title sponsor of the Veris Racing team, Veris is proud to be involved with this great community program, which has been running now for over four years.

The week long program is managed by Veris Racing and utilises Veris Racing athletes to administer the program along with trained staff. The program also forms part of the Veris Reconciliation Action Plan – Veris Reflect.

Laverton is a small town 960km north east of Perth and 345km north east of Kalgoorlie, nestled in the far Northern Goldfields of Western Australia.
