Treasury Building
The purpose of this survey was to generate digital assets for the purposes of informing building upgrades, refurbishments, and heritage records.
Scope
Veris were responsible for the following service delivery:
- 3D laser scanning survey of existing building externals, structural walls, foundations
- 3D laser scanning survey of existing building internals
- 3D laser scanning survey of existing building internal MEP and Plant
- Delivery of a 3D point cloud from the survey for use in Recap, Revit and 3Side Online Viewing Portal
- Preparation of a Revit model (LOD300) of the existing building supplied in Revit 2024, LOD350 supplied for the front main internal staircase and DDA lift on the Mall façade
Outcomes
The survey delivered significant value by providing the client with accurate, high-resolution data to support planning, refurbishment, and compliance requirements. The use of 3D laser scanning reduced the need for repeat site visits, lowering both project costs and safety risk. The delivery of a consolidated 3D point cloud and Revit model improved data reliability and ensured compatibility with industry-standard software, enabling smoother collaboration across stakeholders. The inclusion of LOD350 detail for critical elements, such as the main staircase and DDA lift on the Mall façade enhanced accuracy in key design areas.
Overall, the project outcomes support improved efficiency and reduced program risk by providing a dependable digital record of the existing building.
