Xinyi studied geography and spatial engineering across Auckland and Melbourne, building strong technical foundations in geomatics and digital spatial systems.
From early on, she was drawn to STEM disciplines, particularly the application of digital technology and geographical data to solve complex, real-world problems.

While she didn’t begin her studies with a fixed career destination, exposure to infrastructure and public-sector applications of digital engineering sparked a deeper interest.
